AP - AR Clerk


Summary: AP – AR Clerk is primarily responsible for handling all facets of accounts payable including data entry, approval process and participating in the payment process.

Duties and Responsibilities: support of the accounting department and as outlined below:

  • Process incoming bills and invoices (postal mail & email)
  • Record, distribute for approval and once approved, collect for further processing
  • Process paid bills (attach check stubs, file, mail checks, etc.)
  • Audit and verify accounts payable monthly (includes verify receipt and posting of recurring bills)
  • Reconcile vendor accounts with their statements.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, checks and credit card payments received.
  • Perform filing and other support tasks for the accounting department
  • Cross train and assist other team members
  • Interact with vendors and customers may be required
  • Administrative tasks and support as requested/required
  • Greet all visitors, following proper procedures for visitor sign-in
  • Answer incoming calls, screen and transfer to the appropriate person.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by management


  • At least 2-years prior experience in a AP- AR capacity
  • Prior experience with Timberline and/or Sage 300 preferred but other accounting or ERP software experience considered.
  • Detail oriented and must be able to analyze and interpret data and work with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook to include Excel knowledge of formulas, pivot tables and vlookups
  • Must be able to prioritize workload in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess good organizational skills


  • Attendance and punctuality according to the work schedule are a must and are vital to the operations of the rest of the company.
  • Preferred hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time Must be able to use hands for data entry
  • Full Time Years Experience: 1 – 3 years
  • Salary: $18 – $24 Hourly

Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
Must be able to drive an 18 speed.

Hauls material to designated site as per supervisor instructions.
Maintains company vehicle truck and reports any malfunctions
Carries out daily truck inspection in accordance with company policy.
Performs minor truck maintenance.
Maintains appropriate Department of Transportation documentation including but not limited to: status, license, and physical.
Reports any traffic violations, accidents, and fines immediately.
Monitors loaded amount to ensure load is not overweight.
Ensures customer satisfaction on job sites
Current Commercial driver’s license
Current Department of Transportation medical card
