Connecticut Road Builders Association Annual Fall Dinner Meeting

Bosco Drive On-Site Soil Treatment

NEW BRITAIN, CT - RED’s Environmental Division completed soil remediation operations at 1 Bosco Drive in New Britain, Connecticut. Over 700 cubic yards of soil was treated on-site utilizing a pugmill machine. By using this innovate approach, treated soil was able to remain on the site and be reused to backfill the excavation.
RED Names Employees of the Quarter

Work Begins on CT-69 Improvement Project

RED has recently begun working on capacity and operational improvements along Route 69 in the towns of Woodbridge and New Haven, Connecticut. The job consists of road widening, milling and paving, intersection improvements, and new signalization to improve traffic flow and pedestrian access. The CTDOT Project (No. 0092-0672) was awarded to RED Technologies, LLC at a cost of $2,976,691.85 and is scheduled to be completed in September of 2019.
RED Attends 2018 Achievement in Civil Engineering (ACE) Awards

RED Set to Manage PCB Transportaion & Disposal for the City of New Haven

Work is currently underway at RED to manage the excavation, transportation and disposal of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) contaminated material for the City of New Haven. Remedial activities are being carried out for 190 River Street, formerly occupied by the Bigelow Boiler Manufacturing Company, setting the property up for future renovations.

Providing Environmental Services for New Haven Walk Bridge Program

RED is currently involved in the New Haven Line Interlocking Project which will construct a new four-track railroad interlocking located between East Norwalk and Westport, Connecticut. Services RED has provided include the transportation and disposal of non-hazardous railroad ties, carbon vessel replacement, and groundwater storage, transportation and disposal.

Making Way for the South Hartford Conveyance and Storage Tunnel

As part of their Clean Water Project, RED is subcontracted under The Metropolitan District (MDC) to provide transportation and disposal of excavated soil for a new four-mile long tunnel designed to store excess wastewater during rain events in the Hartford, Connecticut region. In this massive effort to reduce sewer overflows, RED has managed large quantities of excavated material.
RED Provides PCB Impacted Soil and Concrete Removal

RED provided soil and concrete remediation and transportation and disposal services to facilitate the self-implementation cleanup of PCB remediation waste under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for an active manufacturing facility located in South Windsor, Connecticut.

RED Technologies, LLC Helps to Keep 14-Year Q-Bridge/I-95 Project Moving

RED is providing the management and oversight for all excess spoils and controlled materials for the Q-Bridge/I-95 reconstruction project in New Haven, Connecticut. The management project itself is worth approximately $8.5 million. RED will manage upwards to 5,000 cu. yds. of soil daily from all of the ongoing projects.
